Today Anastasia came to speak to as about the

 Waihopai river and how its geting full up with mud.

She said that marine life is dying because people dump sewage 

 in it. She also told as about Seaward Bush. Pests are eating the bird eggs.

Today at Enrich we had high interest sessions. 
I chose tessellation mine was of a bunny rabbit  .
It was very hard!!!
The science group made a nasty smell yuck.

Today we did our reflection for term two.

                      We had to write about our term.

                               We also played a game called the hoop game 

                                         You had a group of three or four and you had to jump

                                             at the same time with your feet together and holding hands

Talent development

Hi Today at Enrich we did talent development.  Mr David Russell came to talk to us.  He showed us a heap of photos.  He showed us some of his old cameras - including his very first one!  David gave us some great tips for how to take a great photo - he said make sure you take at least 10 photos from different angles, that way you had lots to choose from.  After that, he gave us some really expensive cameras (made out of cardboard!)  They helped us to find different angles for the same object.  Next week we are going to Queens Park to take lots of photos.
PS - David Russell met Frederick Hundertwasser!!  We are studying him at school at the moment.  He is a famous artist who doesn't like straight lines!!

The wearable arts

Today we went to the Invercargill museum to see the wearable arts. There was a glow in the dark room. .

A lady was giving little bits of fabric to feel. My favorite was the glow in the dark monarch butter fly dress it was very pretty. I did not want to leave!

Learning wheel

Today at enrich 

we did the learning wheel .You record on the wheel  what you have wondered, used ,learned, tired & felt in term one. I enjoyed it

Hi Ali.

It was great to see you thinking about how to capture an amazing picture on Thursday!  You thought about different techniques, angles and perspectives to capture a range of different pictures.  You are working well with other children, and independently, you are learning to organise your time and prioritise what needs to be achieved within your Must Do and PIck sheet.  Keep up the hard work Ali.  Katie.
